Survey!!

Calling all SIG's please get involved with my inquiry even more and complete my survey! In addition to our blogging and discussions, it would be great to hear feedback on this more formal 'tool', as well as allowing me to analyse the results. Just click on the link below...

  1. I did the survey, but I felt I would need to be more an expert on the subject to answer the questions meaningfully. I don't really know if I have made good decisions or what is important. I am hoping that at some point I can make that kind of analysis of my life but it sort of feels like it would be once I felt I had achieved something and I don't yet! I still feel in the middle of it all. Maybe you could ask some questions that refer more to theories. asking if people agree or have had similar experiences.

  2. I was able to answer the questions as before this course, I explored the idea of a transition to media. But I agree, many people wouldn't be able to comment. By asking for feelings around certain theories or ideas, your research might lead to a broader finding. I too found it hard to find a good place for the survey within my inquiry. I found it'd quantitative method didn't suit my needs for capturing feelings and ideas.

  3. I definitely agree with you both. I found the survey a real struggle in being able to construct questions that could be answered by a variety of people, while also providing me with the informational outcome I desire. It definitely leads me to believe that the best situation to use this tool is within a very focused specialised area of an inquiry. Otherwise modifying the survey to suite the general consensus might sway my findings.
